Melody Van Hoose, MS, LPCC has a wide range of skills she brings to psychotherapy with over sixteen years of teaching experience in PK-12th grade and over eleven years of movement therapy practice. She has worked in various clinical settings including adult and adolescent addiction treatment, middle and high school counseling, special needs communities, health care clinics, community mental health, and private practice.
She enjoys working with clients of all ages and values the unique challenges and gifts each developmental stage offers. She is currently accepting clients ages 10 and above.
Melody graduated from Prescott College with a Master's of Science in Counseling in 2018. Her undergraduate degree is in Eurythmy, a creative movement discipline, which she began studying in 1999 and teaching in 2003. She completed the Eurythmy Therapy Training of Great Britain in 2009, an additional 1200 hour movement therapy training. She studied massage therapy at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, graduating in 2011. Melody has additional training in yoga (200 hr YTT), the Spacial Dynamics movement method, play therapy, and school counseling with an ASCA specialization in the college admissions process. She is currently studying biodynamic craniosacral therapy.
Her extensive teaching, somatic, and artistic background bring creativity, mindful presence, psychological flexibility, and vitality to the therapy process.
